You can walk on the carpet when ever you need to.  I also have shoe covers, if the client wants they can slip them over their shoes, so the carpet will not get soiled from outside shoes.

8-24 hours is normal. I recover 80% of the water used, but I have drying equipment I can leave behind to speed up the drying process. There is no extra charge for this service. These driers will dry the carpet in 1-3 hours.
